Harry’s Hot Dogs

I walked around Sydney again.
I could have taken a train or a bus to explore the outskirts, but I wanted to walk around the familiar Sydney city.

Traveling to new places is also great, but as I thought about leaving Australia, Sydney, I wanted to go to familiar places and keep the memories for a long time.

I headed straight to the Opera House.
When I thought of walking around Sydney, the first place that came to mind was definitely the Opera House.
When I arrived at Circular Quay, I saw a huge cruise ship anchored there.
I remembered the Titanic I saw in an old movie.
I wondered who would ride such a cruise.

I heard that it is a city where cruise ships are floating around, so I decided to take the time and leisure to ride a cruise ship someday.

I could also see the Aboriginal people playing the traditional instrument didgeridoo.
I could also see the busking at Circular Quay, and that day I was able to see the Aboriginal people playing the traditional instrument didgeridoo.
If I continued to listen, I felt like I was going to be hypnotized.
Although they didn’t have any special notes, it seemed like the instrument and music were sacred and spiritual in front of nature.

Goob-bye, the Opera House!

It was probably going to be the last day. Looking at the Opera House with my own eyes while staying in Sydney…
When can I come back to Australia again?
I remembered the first day I came to Sydney with my friends, looking for this place and taking a picture of the Opera House.
The magnificent Opera House was the same as it was then, but I only felt regret instead of the excitement I felt back then.

The sky was a bit cloudy.
Whenever I thought of Sydney, I imagined a clear sky without a single cloud, but today the weather was cloudy, and I was disappointed that I couldn’t take a photo of the clear sky.

Today, the destination of the city tour was set to be Harris Hotdog, a restaurant famous enough to have been visited by many celebrities.
Although there was a small branch near theCentral station in city where could easily taste their hotdogs, I decided to come to the main branch to try them out.

It wasn’t a typical restaurant but looked more like a food truck, though it seemed to have been stationed there for a long time like a makeshift dining hall.

I didn’t recognize any of the famous people that may have visited the place while in Australia.
Even though there were both black and white and color photographs, they seemed to have been taken a long time ago.
I felt like I was transported to the past when I ate their hotdogs.

The appearance of the Korean K-hotdogs is different from those here.
They looked like hamburgers and were not very large in size.
One hotdog was enough to make me feel full and could even serve as a whole meal.

There was no dedicated seating area at the food truck, but there was a bench right in front of it where people were already eating hotdogs.
So, I naturally took a seat next to them and tasted the hotdog’s flavor.

I had expected the hotdog’s taste to be plain, just with a sausage in a bun, but the sauce inside it was too delicious.
That was probably why their hotdogs had been popular for so long.
If I ever come back to Australia, I would love to come back and taste it again.

After having the hotdog, I could have passed through Hyde Park to reach the city,
but I wanted to walk a little more and decided to move towards Kings Cross.
It was a place where I had made many fond memories with friends.

Although it was a place where adult products were sold during the day, it was also a popular destination for backpackers.

During the day, Kings Cross seemed much more familiar compared to when I first came.
Even looking at an adult store didn’t scare me.

Hello, Sydney. I took a picture of myself reflected in the mirror.
Today is also the last day in Kings Cross.
Goodbye, Kings Cross!

Bar Coluzzi. It’s my favorite cafĂ©. It’s a perfect place to rest during a tiring trip.
I took a break at the cafe I used to go to near Kings Cross.
There are many open-air cafes like this in Australia, especially in Sydney, which is really nice.
In Korea, there aren’t many places where you can sit outside and have a cup of coffee, so I feel regretful about that.

I think it was in operation until 2019, but when I searched on Google in April 2023, it seemed to have changed to a restaurant.

Today, my walking trip in Sydney ended at Darling Harbour.
Ducks were playing in the calm lake. Both the ducks and I had a leisurely time.

There was a Starbucks at Darling Harbour,
but I already had a cup of delicious coffee before coming.

At the Darling Harbour Theater, I saw a poster announcing the release of Avatar soon.
It seems like Avatar will be released in Korea as well.
I watched the trailer in Sydney and will watch the actual movie in Korea, so that was also interesting, unfamiliar, and regretful.
