Quit the restaurant
I decided to return to Korea,
and set the date of my return for December 11th.
And about two weeks ago, I decided to quit my job.
For the last two weeks, there was something I wanted to do.
It was a short but sweet barista course, and I wanted to receive a certificate and return to Korea.
I wanted to remember the Australian coffee that I had enjoyed while I was there.
I informed the owner of the restaurant that I was returning and quitting my job.
On my last day of work,
I had a drink of soju with the owner and members who had worked with me.
The owner wished me farewell,
and I wished the business prosperity.
And I received chocolates as a gift,
which made me happy, sorry, and regretful all at once.
I knew that the business was struggling,
but the owner’s efforts to prepare something for me touched my heart.
I was excited to return to Korea,
but at the same time, I was disappointed that I couldn’t work with them anymore.
