Venetian Macau Resort Hotel

Experiencing the City of Dreams hotel casino, we moved on to explore the next hotel.
In Macau, we decided to visit just two hotels, and one of them was the Venetian Hotel, Macau.

View of Venetian Hotel
It wasn’t far from the City of Dreams hotel.
It was within walking distance, but the hot weather made it quite challenging to walk.

Macau Street
Various hotels and resorts lined the way to the hotel.
It was difficult to determine whether this was Asia, Europe, or America, as there were many tall buildings arranged here.

Venetian Hotel, Outdoor Artificial Lake
When we arrived at the Venetian Hotel, we couldn’t enter the hotel immediately.
We couldn’t find the entrance and ended up wandering around the hotel building, amazed by the size of the artificial lake.

Venetian Hotel Entrance
We circled back to the opposite side of the building and found the entrance.
Seeing many tourists coming and going made it clear that we had found the entrance.
Due to the hot weather, we wanted to get inside the building quickly.

City of Dreams in the distance
The City of Dreams hotel we had just left appeared in the distance.
Although it seemed close, it wasn’t as close as it appeared.

Outdoor Lake and Gondola
The artificial lake surrounding the building reminded me of the moat of Osaka Castle.
The stationary gondolas seemed to speak about the purpose of leisure rather than for war.

Venetian Representative Sculpture
The Venetian Hotel is originally a prominent hotel in Las Vegas, USA.
They replicated the same design in Macau, operating the world’s largest casino here.
With an area three times the size of a football field, one could easily get lost in the casino.

The casino, besides being a casino, offers plenty of shopping malls and attractions.
It’s a place worth visiting even if not for accommodation purposes.

Venetian Sculpture
It resembled a globe-shaped sculpture.
Many tourists were taking photos here for souvenirs.

Venetian Hotel Lobby
The hotel ceiling resembled European royalty, giving the illusion of being somewhere in Europe just by looking at it.

Venetian Hotel Casino
Walking through the lobby on the first floor, we encountered several corridors leading to the casino.
Even just passing through the casino for transit left us in awe of its immense scale.

There were so many people that I wanted to get out quickly.
I was grateful for having experienced the casino at the City of Dreams hotel.

Venetian Hotel Grand Canal
The Grand Canal refers to the canals in Venice, Italy.
In the Venetian Hotel, they have an artificial canal flowing as a concept of the Grand Canal.
Gondolas were gliding through it, making us feel like we were in Italy.

Grand Canal
Since it’s an artificial canal, it felt like a swimming pool.
Nevertheless, seeing gondolas and serenades made us feel like we were indeed in Italy.

Sky painted on the ceiling.
The Grand Canal is designed with a European-style shopping area, and even the sky, though it’s actually the indoor ceiling, was painted with blue skies and clouds, giving the feeling of strolling through a European street on a sunny afternoon.
It was a bit rough, but it was fascinating to feel like I was traveling to Europe.

Venetian Hotel, Grand Canal
All the buildings had pastel-toned exteriors, which was beautiful.
Despite being tired from walking all day in the heat, I still felt good.

Venetian Restaurant Street
The restaurant street was also decorated like a European restaurant street.
Although it didn’t look much different from a food court, many tourists were enjoying their dinners with joyful expressions.

Before moving on to Hong Kong, we decided to have dinner inside the Venetian Hotel.
We thought we might be late when we arrived in Hong Kong, and we were also quite hungry from all the walking.
We ordered something like a rice bowl, and it was delicious with the meat stir-fried and the bok choy added, giving it a clean taste.

Moving outside the hotel
We chose the Venetian Hotel as our last destination in Macau because we could take a shuttle bus from here to the Macau Ferry Terminal. We moved outside the hotel amidst the crowd heading to the casino.
There were so many people.

Shuttle bus to Macau Ferry Terminal
The shuttle bus service was available from 9:30 in the morning until midnight, with buses departing every 5 to 15 minutes.

Although there were many people heading to the ferry terminal, the buses quickly filled up and departed, so the line shortened quickly.

Having spent a day in Macau, it was now time to return to Hong Kong.
