Shooting in Nan-Ji Archery Field

Most of the archery fields have pavilions, so the Korean letter Jeong(정) is attached to the end of the each archery field name.

Hwanghakjeong, where I belong, also has pavilion which means ‘Jeong(정)’ in its name.
There is a pavilion in the actual archery field, so many archery events are held there.

Nan-Ji archery field has its own name ‘Sang-am-Jeong’,
Nan-Ji means the name of a town where it’s placed,
so we call it Nan-Ji archery field or ‘Sang am jeong’ as well.
But there is no pavilion in Sangamjeong.

There is no pavilion, but it seems to have been named to call the archery field comfortably.

It has been a month since I came to Sangamjeong.
The first day of August was the hot August,
At the end of September, cold winds blew in the morning and evening, so could feel autumn.
There was a Chuseok holiday in September.
(Korean Thanks Giving day)

Even if we gathered every Saturday and shooting bow,
I didn’t have much experience yet,
so occasionally slapped on the cheek and arm when I was full and released.

At first, arrows that were falling around the target in a mess,
still, I could see it falling near the target.
I felt like I was getting closer to my bow little by little.

In November, there will be a private evaluation at Hwanghakjeong.
Let’s be humble and diligently learn archery !
