Australian Wine, Yellow Tail

Since coming to Korea, even after 14 years have passed,
I have a few memories that remind me of Australia,
and one of them is wine.

Sometimes when I craved alcohol or had a party to attend in Australia,
I couldn’t freely drink the cheap soju that cost 3,000 won in Korea for 10,000 won,
so instead, I often bought wine and enjoyed it at home.

The cheap boxed wine used for cooking at restaurants
could be purchased for around 5 dollars (AUD) for a 5L box at the bottle shop.

And on days when I received my paycheck, occasionally I would buy wine that cost around 10 dollars (AUD) per bottle,
which was considered a luxurious wine for me, and I would share it with my friends.

That wine was Yellow Tail, an Australian wine.

After returning to Korea, I couldn’t find this wine anywhere.
But a few years later, by chance, I encountered this wine at a convenience store,
and I vividly remember jumping for joy right there on the spot.

In Korea, can find this wine for around 16,000 won(USD 12) at CU convenience stores,
which is a slightly higher price compared to Australia,
but it’s still affordable and allows me to experience Australia again.
Yellow Tail has many different varieties,
but I stick to the wine I had in Australia,
with its distinctive yellow label.

After enthusiastically recommending it to my friends,
I occasionally come across friends who are looking for Yellow Tail around me.

I hope I can enjoy it for a long time.
