Became alone in Sydney in the end

It is certain that being together with someone is stronger and more supportive than being alone, and being with three is better than two.
As my two friends were leaving for Korea, leaving me behind in Sydney, I felt drained and suddenly scared.
Being alone in Sydney had a different kind of heaviness than traveling Sydney alone.

At 9:55 pm, my friends were scheduled to return to Korea via Qantas Airways, with a layover in Tokyo.
Two of my friends had to return to Korea early to resume their studies for the last semester of fourth year.
I, on the other hand, had completed all of my credits and was about to graduate, so I decided to stay in Sydney until December, as my visa permitted.

I went to the airport to see my friends off, but I felt strangely empty.

Knowing that I still had one friend left in Bundaberg provided some comfort.
But being in the airport space and the time of 9 pm were still emotional enough.

Considering that they had been living there for ten months, they didn’t have much luggage.
Still, leaving the house and staying away for so long made them confused and disorganized enough to sit on the airport floor and reorganize their luggage.

After checking in, we briefly said goodbye outside.
Though the flight was approaching and the goodbye was brief, it left a long-lasting impression.
We promised to relive the memories made in Australia once we meet again in Korea.
