started working again

I heard from friends that they went to Korea and returned to school.
They went back to being students in their main field to fill their last semester credits.

I also went back to my main job and started working in Sydney.
A Korean friend who was the head chef of a Japanese restaurant where I worked before going to the farm contacted me.
He asked if I could help him open a new restaurant.

Since I hadn’t decided on extending my second visa yet, I asked if it was okay to work for only the remaining 4 months on my visa.
My friend readily agreed to work together for just 4 months.

It seemed that he contacted me because he heard that I was having a hard time finding a job.
My friend thought it would be better to hire people with whom he had worked before, rather than hiring strangers for the new restaurant.
When I came to the restaurant to prepare for the opening, there were many familiar faces.

Several of my friends who worked at the same restaurant before had gathered.
Although some were strangers due to different work periods, most were Koreans, and there were also Japanese people.

We prepared for the restaurant opening by faithfully carrying out our respective roles as we did in the past.
I handled basic ingredient preparation and confirmed and ordered stock when needed at Back Yard.
Although one person had to perform multiple roles simultaneously since the restaurant was not large, it was not a big problem.

There was a staircase on the second floor that we had to go up and down, but it was not inconvenient.
Rather, the restaurant was smaller than the previous one, which added to its cozy and charming atmosphere.

It was conveniently located just a short distance from a main road in front of Sydney University, making it easily accessible from residential areas.
I also prepared for the restaurant opening in September, along with my friends, as it coincided with the start of the semester at Sydney University.

Although I had to run Back Yard alone without my friends, I was satisfied that I could work in Australia for the remaining time.
