Paddy’s Market, Sydney

In Sydney city, there is a huge shopping center.
It’s not like a department store or a mart, but there are many different shops in a fairly large space.
It’s called Market City, located in Sydney’s Chinatown, also known as Paddy’s Market.

Trams run in front of Market City on the left.

At the time I was there, they only did business five days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday.

It was a place where they sold many souvenirs, rather than necessary items for daily life.

However, there were also simple clothing, hats, bags, and other accessories to occasionally shop for.

As befitting the maze-like interior of Market City, there are multiple entrances.

Another reason to visit Market City is that there are many Chinese-owned vegetable and fruit shops, where can buy fruit or ingredients at a reasonable price.
The prices were cheaper than general marts or other fruit shops, and I often bought mandarins and oranges to eat, which were much cheaper than in Korea.

Especially tropical fruits in Korea like oranges and avocados were incredibly inexpensive.

When enter Market City, can see a unique warehouse-like atmosphere and many tourists bustling around,

and sometimes I miss this atmosphere.
