Sydney is preparing for Christmas
It was mid-November, but Sydney was already in the Christmas season.
The weather was hot summer, but it was Christmas.
In Sydney, it’s impossible to imagine a white Christmas.
I came to Sydney last Christmas,
and now that another year has passed, it felt different.
Time flies so fast, and I felt regretful that my visa was soon to expire.
At this time, I was considering not extending my visa and returning to Korea.
I also considered staying in Sydney for another year to prepare for permanent residency,
and a friend even suggested sponsoring me for a 457 visa to stay longer in Sydney.
However, staying in Sydney with a permanent residency visa did not guarantee a better future.
I believed that graduating from school and challenging myself to find a job in Korea would provide a better future.
At that timeā¦
I crossed the Harbour Bridge to go to work.
Before work, I had to buy something from a restaurant, so I stopped by Broadway Shopping Mall,
and I could feel the Christmas atmosphere in the mall.
It’s Christmas season again.
Where will I spend this Christmas?
